America’s birthday is just around the corner, which means you’re probably getting ready to barbecue, hit the beach or head out of town on vacation. But know what’s the cherry on top of this summer holiday? The incredible 4th of July sales that are hitting all of our favorite retailers. Walmart’s early 4th of July sale has dropped and we’re salivating over the low prices we’re seeing.
In the market for a new vacuum? Grab this Bissell Little Green cleaner that’s only $88. Planning an outdoor get-together? These $100 Adirondack chairs — available in 13 fun colors — are a must. Can’t deal with the sweltering temps? Pick up this popular Dreo floor fan while it’s just $60.
Of course, these discounts are just the beginning of the summer savings bonanza that’s about to hit Walmart’s virtual shelves. The retailer’s annual Walmart Deals event kicks off on Tuesday, July 8 and runs through Sunday, July 13 — six whole days. That’s two days longer than Amazon Prime Day — the main competing sale of the month…you know the one! — and offering up to 50% off everything from tech and home to fashion and toys. You’ll find markdowns on big brands like Samsung, Vizio, Dyson, Sharpie and more. Another perk: Walmart+ members can start saving early, with exclusive access beginning on July 7.

“From barbecues to back-to-school, we know this is a busy shopping season for our customers, which is why we’re excited to bring back the Walmart Deals event,” said Megan Crozier, executive vice president, General Merchandise, Walmart U.S. “As customers look to save on both the items that they want and need this season, this summer’s event will feature a wider selection of products, including wellness finds and everyday essentials. We also know families are continuing to shop earlier for the new school year, so we’ve brought back deals on first-day essentials to help customers save more when it matters most.
And unlike Amazon Prime Day, Walmart Deals is open to all shoppers, not just those with a paid membership. (Though Walmart+ members will get first access!)
How do I become a Walmart+ member?
While being a Walmart+ member comes in handy during special events like Walmart Deals, it’s also smart to sign up if the idea of getting free shipping on every purchase, along with complimentary grocery delivery, sounds good to you.
