The Socceroos has fallen agonisingly short of a famous win over Brazil after conceding in the final seconds of the entertaining friendly in Townsville.
Superstar Nestory Irankunda had given Australia the lead with a free kick for the ages midway through the second half before Brazil found the equaliser with a Rayan header from a corner in virtually the last play of the game.

But despite failing to secure the win, it was still an amazing performance from the Socceroos against the South American heavyweights.
Irankunda’s stunning free kick was from all of 30 yards out and dipped viciously over the wall into the top corner to leave the goalkeeper no chance.
It was an effort that any top player in the world would be proud of.
“Good goal. I’ve done it before and to do it again today against a top team in Brazil is just amazing,” he told 10 after the game.
“I practice it quite a lot. Sometimes the ball goes outside on the training ground. For it to go in today felt good. Beautiful. I’m happy with it.”
Socceroos great Archie Thompson hailed the goal as “world class”.
Irankunda will get all the plaudits for his goal and lively performance throughout, but there was also plenty to like from the fellow young gun Lucas Herrington, who once again stood out in defence.
Herrington, who announced himself as a star of the future at the World Cup, continued his fine form with another composed performance.
Captain Harry Souttar was also influential with a string of last-ditch efforts to deny Brazil as they piled on the pressure late.
