So when we were offered the opportunity to road-test the brand’s latest Matcha-coloured collection, we jumped at the idea.

Comprising workout essentials like ankle and wrist weights, Pilates balls, a reformer mat, resistance bands and, of course, the iconic MoveActive grip socks, 7You’s editor Sophie and deputy editor Holly incorporated a range of the brand’s pieces in to our workouts for the past month.

Here’s how we got on.

I’ve been wearing MoveActive Pilates socks for well over a year now, and to be honest: there isn’t another brand I will buy now.

Every time I wear the socks, whether with cute little hearts or in tonal chocolate brown, I always get complimented at Pilates.

And the new matcha collection was no exception.

Rocking the Polka Dot Matcha Socks ($22.95) to reformer Pilates felt like a style statement and a moment of me-time as well as just putting on a sock to work out in.

I also got a surprising amount out of the Ankle and Wrist Weights (1kg; $89), which are a fantastic addition to anyone looking to add an element of strength or resistance to a workout (um, who isn’t?)

With TCS Sydney Marathon on the horizon for me in August, I’m now deep in training mode — and anything that helps me get that prized strength up and looks good at the same time is a win in my books.

My favourite piece from this lineup has to be the Resistance Bands ($28 per band).

At $28, they will hardly break the bank — but you can get a surprising amount of burn out of just one incorporated into a strength routine.

Made from a cotton-blend fabric for enhanced comfort, unlike other resistance bands, I didn’t find the MoveActive option uncomfortable or rubbing while I was exercising in my running shorts.

With countless sock options to choose from in the Matcha lineup as well as other home and in-studio workout essentials, there’s something for everyone in this new lineup featuring the colour and drink of the season.

You’ll love it all.

I’ve been a loyal Pilates girl for a number of years now, mostly heading to the epic classes at Core Culture in Cammeray.

While my weekly instructor-led sessions are ensuring my form is in tact, I’ve been on a mission to add more strength training to my workouts in the hope of toning muscles and improving my core.

At-home, I’ve added MoveActive’s Pilates Ball and Toning Balls to lend a helping hand.

Great for using alongside dumbbells, I’ve found that they add that little bit of extra weight, forcing my body to work harder on the mat.

With the toning balls, I place the weighted balls under the balls of my feet to make squatting movements all the more challenging, while the inflatable ball slides between my thighs as an extra form of punishment during glute bridges.

And who doesn’t want a pop of matcha green alongside them when they work out?

To match, MoveActive’s Grip socks have also become a go-to for both at-home classes and instructor-led sessions.

Unlike others I’ve tried, these actually stay put on my feet when moving the carriage, leaving me feeling secure and sturdy throughout the 50 minutes.

My matcha green accessories have been a stylish but simple way to level up my workout routine.

If you’re a Pilates girl like us — you’ll love MoveActive’s additions.
